Whatever works, just so long as I don't have to use the admin password to manually uninstall those three driversĮvery time I want to use ZSNES or DOSBOX. Soon as the standard user "Slick" logs in (I'm not sure that anybody else uses those programs). I'd be fine with a way to forcibly disable them, a way to uninstall them and keep them from coming back, or a script to automatically uninstall them either at Startup before a user logs in or as I just need the "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" driver. Also that thing is hard to grip as it is so small.įinally, the option to disable the drivers is greyed out. Unplugging the transceiver is too much of a PITA to do as I need to use the back USB ports. There is no "Found new hardware" that pops up like when I plug in a new brand of flash drive. How do I set up a script to automatically remove these items? Alternately, how do I stop them from automatically installing? Removing them temporarily fixes the problem, but they come back the next time the computer is restarted, and it gets turned off nightly while I'm sleeping and working as there is no sense wasting the electricity when I'm not going to use it for 16 hours. They interfere with DOSBox, ZSNES, and a couple other programs. However, just having the transceiver for the wirelss mouse causes three keyboard drivers to automatically get installed, all start "Microsoft eHome" followed by ".MCIR 109 Keyboard", ". Turned on, I'm at least 3 feet from the PS/2 mouse so it doesn't get used even if it is still connected and live. Yes, there are technically two mice, but the wireless one is usually turned off and when it is I have a wireless mouse that I use to remote control the older computer in my bedroom that I use for watching streaming video.
